Would a 12 or 14 really be that much bigger than a 10mm that hole looks to be about 4x the size of that bit. i can take my standard size socket wrench and stick it in the hole on my bike and that's not big enough.

try this, before you go to buy one take a piece of paper and try and trace the out line of that hole on the paper. when you get to the store you can try to match up the drawing wit the tool. that would probably give you a good reference to witch one is the correct size.
