The main objective is having fun and getting in the saddle to ride. The "competition" aspect of it is just a motivation to get your butt off the couch and on the bike. zenbutcher got it right.
Also, consider Rule #6.

6. No :poorbaby: or :cuss: If you have a suggestion to improve the game, feel free to contribute, but if you just want to b*tch and moan, do it elsewhere.

I think the broadness of the subject is up to the originator of the tag, but with this type of wide-ranging game, there should be considerable leeway in what is considered a valid grab or not. If it's something obviously wrong (like a bread factory instead of a cigar shop), then I will make the call whether or not the grab is valid. But we're all adults here. We all know the intention of the game, so if you have a problem with the tag or grab in question, get on your bike, grab the current tag and get another one to move past it. Then you will have met the objective of the game.
Remember, there's no scorekeeping. If you're worried about a score or who's getting more tags than you, there's an easy way to fix it.
