Old tag museum,

The Cavalry museum is in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia. My mom's older brothers told me that as kids they used to come down here and watch the soldiers train with their horses. The area behind this museum was called the Parade Ground, and is totally enclosed by a street in an oval shape. (Think football field with a track around it). The main difference being that the "field" is huge. Today the grounds are part of the local Recreation association and there are 6-7 baseball fields inside that oval and still there's an open field 2-3 times the size of a football field left untouched. The outside perimeter of the oval was originally soldier's barracks and officers homes. The officers homes have mostly been restored and are beautiful old houses now and most of the barracks are now serving as multi-unit apartments.
