Yes but it is cheaper, simpler and more reliable (fewer parts) if you just let it "sync" with the piston and fire every time it approaches TDC. :cool:
Having a spark at TDC on the exhaust stroke really doesn't DO anything useful.......but it can cause some interesting back-fires if the mixture gets really rich or the valve timing gets out of whack.
