Butanol v Ethanol

This isn't so much a troubleshooting post as it is just a question, but I couldn't find a better place to put it.

So the owner's manual says to stay away from gasolines that contain too much butanol. Well, a lot of stations I'm seeing now have a posted sign saying "Gas may contain 10% Ethanol." Would that have a negative effect on the GZ250? If so, is there a way to mod the bike itself to handle ethanol?
