steelcapped work boots are the go, mate. makes the taxi drivers sit up and take notice when you "request" that they not merge into the lane where your riding, but also meet all of your saftey needs....

well thanks for teh heads up, just checked these screws on the VL250, which has pretty much the same assembly for the saddle lock as the GZ, and yes, they do appear to loosen over time. Thanks Mate!

So the GZ is fixed, and gone. :cry: I'm gonna miss that little bike. I'm gonna keep the VL250 for a while yet, loving the extra torque and power from its V-Twin and the bit of extra leg room....

Sorted. 10,000kms and 10ish years of assorted gunk removed from the starter switch, hit it with the WD-40 for good measure, and we have a winner!

well thanks, Battery is fully charged, mostly cause the charger I have tells me so, (green light instead of red, and the multimeter test gave me a good strong result)....
