Well, ya know, some people like Katanas, some people hate them. Since there are real fans of Katanas out there (katriders.com for instance) they can't be all bad. I really, REALLY don't want a supersport to be honest. I'd much prefer a sport touring styled bike, and the used market for Katanas seems to be better than, say, the market for Ninja 650s or Suz SV650s. I can find a used Katana for under $2k around here.

Very nice!

Is there a frontwards and backwards on saddlebags? Those look backwards to me.

Looks to me like he's just thrown the bags on the passenger seat for the photo. If you look, you can see that its not attached at all (or at least not correctly). The part connecting the two bags (is there a technical term for that piece of leather?) is draped over the top of the passenger seat.

I think they are right. You certainly DON'T want the air flow pushing UP on them.

And the connecting part is usually called a yoke.

Re: Traded my GZ today

Thanks Dupo

Primal your correct I had just thrown the bags on the bike, I don't have saddle bag mounts, on it yet and I don't know if I want to use them all the time, or just on occasion when I'm traveling.

As far as front and back go, that is the direction that I would use them. I don't know if it's correct or not but looks more aero to me O_o

Keep that front pipe polished. I love the Vstars but the front pipe has a habit of blueing. I am still debating between the Vstar classic and the Shadow aero.

Re: Traded my GZ today

I wanted the shadow real bad, came down to $. Now that I have the V Star and put a few miles in the saddle, I'm very happy with my choice.

Re: Traded my GZ today

I bought a Suzuki C50 back in October and kept the little gz250 until July. I sold the little bike to a guy at work. Wish I hadnt. Miss the little bike even though I only rode it 3 times (20 miles total) after I bought the C50. I see it everyday at work and I am disgusted in the condition it is becoming (he rides it but doesnt take care of it like I babied it).
