Re: Sold the GZ

Water, actually the bike is VERY smooth, even feels smoother than the GZ. I don't notice much pulsing.

I like the styling too. I really like the look the PO was going for, kind of sporty and stripped down. I'm going to try to keep that look but add some hardware back on (turn signals, sissy bar, etc.)

Just realized it is a shaftie. Make sure to change the oil in there too. I agree with putting the signals back, they can be a life saver.

Re: Sold the GZ

Yeah, I've already had a couple of instances of someone turning in front of me because they didn't realize I was going to be making a left hand turn  . One of the stems is broken on the rear TS's, so I'm going to be stopping by a salvage yard soon to find some replacements. In the meantime I'm freshening up on my hand signals.

Have you figured out how to signal a right turn without the throttle snapping shut? :??:

Re: Sold the GZ

Well, a right turn is simply raising your left hand, straight out=left turn, hand down=stop. Now timing it to get my hand back on the clutch to stop is something else  .

Ah.... In England a right turn hand signal means sticking your right arm out horizontally, & a stop signal is waving your right arm up & down, vertically. That's why, in the days before electric indicators, we had a friction screw on the throttle to stop it closing when we gave hand signals.
