Clutch and footpeg too close?

Hi,Everyone.I have been practicing for a few days now(getting better),and love the bike. But there is one problem I am having:The space between the clutch and footrest is too close together and is kind of tricky.
Anyone have that problem and fixed it?
Thanks to all who answer.
Annie
PS:I have smallish feet.

Gear Shift Lever Position

I assume you mean the gear shift lever is too close to the foot peg to fit your shoe. Please see "Gear Shift Lever Position" topic under the "General Maintenance" thread for adjustment instructions.

That oughta fix you up!

Welcome Sister.

I would agree with Sarris............but the comment about small feet throws me.
Can we start over, please?

The clutch is on the left handle bar.
The shifter is near the left foot peg.

What is too close to what ........and why does it create a problem?

Senior moment......what's that?
Now what was it we were talking about ??

Do you wear boots that have a tall toe compartment? Steel toed or like that ?
Anyhow, be sure to adjust it to the footwear you will use most often.
Different shoes can make a BIG difference.
