How far one way have you gone on a Suzuki GZ250 ???

Hi Guys,
I just ride around my area, say 12 miles one way. My GZ250 runs very well and I was wondering how far I could go without stopping without hurting the 4 stroke air cooled engine?
Thanks

As far as you want. Maybe not as fast as you'd want, but there's no reason for limits distance-wise, assuming you lube the chain once in a while, etc. There's at least one guy who rode his to Alaska.

With a little maintenance and a little common sense (not trying to run it at 70 or above all day), it will be YOU that is the limiting factor and not the bike !! (and a certain PART of you will fail first). See posts here about seats!!

I personally think that a good synthetic oil offers you a little extra protection.

I ride to Houston and Pasadena several times /year, no problems. I generally try to avoid the superslab but sometimes can't, even then, with caution, doable. Ride down and visit sometime.

I rode my GZ250 nearly 200 miles each way from my home in PA to my boat on the Chesapeake south of Annapolis MD numerous times last summer, sometimes both ways in one day with no problems at all.

Stop every 1/2 to 1 hour to stretch and you can do around 300-400 miles/day. 250 is my maximum (if I remember correctly), but I don't see any reason you couldn't go a little farther.
