Re: Tag-o-rama Gone Global

It is still being played, however, we are coming off of a long Winter's Lull where pretty much nobody participated. However, with warmer weather on the way, I think you will begin to see this flare up again. I will certainly grab my camera and jump back in and I'm sure others will too.

Re: Tag-o-rama Gone Global

I got out today but only for an hour before the rain came down again. Great little ride around town, though. Just not enough time to go scouting for that pool hall shot. Maybe tomorrow.

Waya, if you check the previous pages you'll see times when the tag has been done 2 or 3 times in one day, and then there might be 2 weeks or more between tags. This is normal. It's early in the season.

That's nearly as long as taking the coast road from one end of the island to the other. The road up the mountain has to zig zag, as it would be too steep to get straight up. Once you're at the cable car station you're looking DOWN at the clouds. A magnificent view. The problem is, that the holidaymakers who go on trips up there don't realise how cold it is at those altitudes. They stand there shivering in shorts & T shirts while the tour guides are wrapped up in parkas & gloves.

Went the opposite direction years ago and dang near froze solid. Went on a cave tour and dressed for sunshine and warmth.

Re: Tag-o-rama Gone Global

Thought I knew where there was a Mexican restaurant. When I got there it had shut down. All the signs had gone. Shame we don't have bowling alleys here. Oh well ....... something we have here is sure to turn up soon

Sorry Alan,

Next time I'll tag a beach or a volcano.

Re: Tag-o-rama Gone Global

Old Tag- Bowling Alley:

New Tag: Restaurant specializing in Chicken. This is known in Marietta, Georgia as "The Big Chicken". It's on Highway 41 and when I was a kid and we'd travel from Chattanooga, Tenn. to Atlanta, Ga. I can remember my dad telling us, "Don't ask me if we are almost there yet again until you see the Big Chicken".

His beak opens and closes and the eye goes around and around. They actually have a souvenir shop inside where you can buy "Big Chicken" stuff.
