The mid 80's quad heads DO FIT the GZ250!! You just have to make sure they are the 4 valve heads. LT250...

Re: Can't get any fire...
You stated good fuel flow - How did you check for this? Did you pull the line from the tank to the carb? When you changed the plug, was the old one wet with fuel? Have you checked the new one...

Re: Flame decals
Those decals look awesome!! My front fender has a scrape from being dumped. Hmm.... I wonder if that could cover it up.
BTW the "Black Warrior" has some awfully white legs  - nice shorts...

Strelok - thanks! :2tup:
Advant63 - Lucky! I must say,I'm a bit jealous. I love my little 380 but, have always contemplated a bigger GT. Have you owned/rode both? Just wondering what the...

mrlmd1 and WW..
I would like to apologize for my mistake. You were both correct about the minimum requirement on the GZ250. I only read the beginning of the manual - in the back of the manual in...

Wow,
That was quite a response from everyone.

Sorry...

Doesn't anyone read their manual like I do? :retard: OK, so I have been a bit more intimate with mine being as I had the bike dismantled in my living room.

Sorry geezer,
Didn't mean to imply that she "had to" purchase premium, just stating a thought. Anyone suffering from heat related issues should try running premium fuel to see if it improves. If...

I just purchased my bike in this very same condition - but, luckily I knew that when I bought it.

Just a thought about the stabil. Did you use the "ethanol" version? I work at Napa - after several years of wrenching. This year and last I have a seen multiple vehicles, lawn mowers, chain saws,...

Re: brakes squeel
From my experience working in garages/shops/napa - brake squeal is a metal on metal vibration. The quick vibration of metal against metal creates a "chatter" of sorts in the form of a squeal. Run...

Re: Finally got it running last night!
WW, I've always wanted a Water Buffalo/Kettle but, just can't afford one. They've come WAY up in value. To find one running in decent condition is no less than $3500. I agree with you about the...

Re: KEY SWITCH PLEASE HELP ASAS
Just like Water Warrior said, don't tear the wiring apart... you can easily make a mishap into a mess. I haven't looked at my GZ, but typically manufacturers put a "key code" on the lip of the locks...

Re: GZ-250 With no Top End
That's comforting to hear Water Warrior.
I'm planning on riding this one for mileage, so shouldn't be in fear of that then. The price I paid was techinically a steal, but I'll try not to ride...

Re: GZ-250 With no Top End
I just bought a bike in this very condition. The previous owner had taken it to a Harley Dealer to get it looked at - they too stated that it had "dropped" a valve.
Upon my inspection - this...

Re: What have you owned, or what do you own?
I have owned in order of appearance
1977 YZ125 (lots of fun, but had to sell)
1983 CB550SC (Fast little bike, the powerband at 10,000-12,000rpm was ridiculous - sold this one too)
1974 GT380...
